The Toyama Plaisir Wind Orchestra is a community-based wind ensemble made up of adult musicians active throughout Toyama Prefecture.

Through participation in wind band competitions, ensemble contests, annual concerts, and various performances at local events, we are dedicated to promoting wind music in Toyama and building strong ties with our community. We approach our activities with both joy and sincerity. Since autumn 2023, we have also launched a Junior Band program to nurture the next generation of musicians.

The word Plaisir comes from French, meaning “joy” or “pleasure.” It reflects our wish to share the delight of music with everyone.

We are currently welcoming new members!
Come and share the joy and pleasure of music with us.

The Toyama Plaisir Wind Orchestra was founded in December 2018 by music and wind band enthusiasts in Toyama Prefecture, and began its activities in January 2019.

Our members come from a wide variety of backgrounds—working adults form the core, joined by junior high, high school, and university students, homemakers, and anyone with a passion for music and instruments.

With professional musicians as advisors, we participate in competitions, hold regular concerts, perform at various events, and engage in community activities. Through these efforts, we aim to share the joy of music, promote wind band culture, and continually improve our performance skills.

In autumn 2023, we also launched a Junior Band for elementary school students, further strengthening our community outreach.
